Living in an apartment in Amsterdam city center. A city known for many things. With more than 100 second-hand shops, I bought a very old, basic digital camera for 2,5 Euros.
Rather a toy than good equipment, this camera makes low-quality photos, but the limitations of this camera ensure unique photos and sincere representations of the environment and surroundings.
Along the Singelgracht towards the Overtoom.
The setting sun in the most popular park of Amsterdam.
In these strange times home remains unchanged.
How can we, at certain times and on certain moments, be sure we are doing the right thing when almost all our behavior is influenced by our surroundings?
It is almost 2 months since the coronavirus lockdown has been initiated and people have started to come outside again. It was a time when the whole world wanted to get together and needed contact, while no contact was the greatest fondness anyone could give.
As bad as the consequences of this pandemic have been, we stand now at a point where we determine whether in the future we will see this crisis as the pandemic that underpinned a new person and society or a pandemic that, despite all its victims, has had little influence on our way of life. We are now faced with the choice between progression and naivety.
